I'll never forget all of the good times
we shared with Boomer. From when he was
chasing the ducks at the pond when he was
just a pup, to him always remembering me
when I would visit. He was the best dog
a fmaily could have. But, he was more than
that... He was a beloved friend and loyal
companion. He will be deeply missed... ANd
it won't be the same next time I come to visit.
I love you guys, and I love Boomer very
much. I truly am sorry for your loss.

I want to thank everyone who wrote a response and for all there support.
Boomer was so much more then our dog , he was a family member and my baby! I miss coming home and him greeting me with excitment at the door and bringing me his favorite toys so I could play with him. I will miss him always wanting to be by my side no matter where I was. He was so sweet and playful and protective when needed to be. I miss him playing with his toys on the floor and rolling around making funny noises to try and get your attention. He was so beautiful and had the those eyes that could melt your heart. I am so very grateful that our kids where able to grow up with him, they now understand what it is like to love an animal and care for one and they saw how much love and joy one could give back. I wouldn't change a thing about Boomer, I only wish we could have had him longer.

I know the pain of losing these lives that grace ours with their presence.

I feel your pain and loss and I knew he was a good dog just by all the stories you shared at work.

Goodnight Boomer, may you be with the Angels and continue on in peoples hearts.

The above thoughts and comments are a testiment to Boomer and his greatness as a MEMBER the family. His absense will be noticed for some time to come.
You and I have had a hard year and Saturday was just as difficult as in the past. We have grown closer as a result. I am proud of you and I love you.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Debbie. Nanner and I found a picture of Boomer and Paul together in X-Mas of 2006. I will e-mail it to you if you would like. The last year has been very difficult for us all. Hopefully, we're done with stuff like this for a long time!

I will miss him too, I was there just a couple of weeks ago and spent the whole day with the boys and Boomer. We both sat outside on the deck and watched the boys play in the yard. He laid on his back right by my feet and gave my that look of while your there give me a belly rub so I rubbed his chest and belly with my feet for a while until we dozed off and he fell asleep. We spent the day on the back pourch just letting the wind blow on us both. Boomer was a very special dog to me as well. He could always make me laugh out loud just playing with his frog and he would give you look that made your heart melt. I feel he was more human than dog. He will be missed by all who knew this wonderful member of our family. Love to you, Debbie

Thanks for the kind words Diane. Like so many others, Boomer's unique personality and great demeanor had an impact on your kids and how they were able to interact with him. He was so tolerant and patient with Matthew - as if he understood that he needed to be. He was one of a kind for sure.

The hardest thing is when we visit, Matthew will be looking for Boomer, not understanding what we told him. Matthew will miss walking around following Boomer, and he just let him. Rachel says she will miss playing with Boomer. The kids always called Boomer their cousin. He always wanted Mark to pet him when he would put his head on Mark's lap, or came up to me and put his nose in my hand, or would always find a way to step on my toes.
We will miss him dearly.
Love, Mark, Diane, Matthew & Rachel

Any dog that can find his own Christmas present and open it has to be a pretty cool dog.

Sorry for your loss.

Boomer was a good dog

Oh my god. I had no idea. I was trying to find you, Vince, to ask you about something completely unimportant compared to this, and am quite shocked to discover Tim has died! Clearly I'm months behind the news, but I had no idea, and I'm shocked and saddened. Tim was a really good guy, and I still think of him as "my network guy" and whenever I think of networks I think of how Tim would do it. I am very sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family!
